Hand-Building Bowls – Pinch Pots

The Doina Community Association invites you to a special ceramics workshop led by Iulia Simtion (Iulia Ceramics – Stoneware Objects – Iulia Ceramics).

During this workshop, Iulia will teach us the traditional hand-building technique known in the ceramics world as “pinch pots”.

Iulia will guide us through the pinch pot method, a highly tactile and intuitive way of working with clay. The bowls created can then be joined together in various configurations, depending on each participant’s imagination, from appetiser bowls and salt cellars to sets of small containers for jewellery and keepsakes.

At the end of the workshop, participants will also have the option to paint their creations in a variety of colours. Iulia will professionally finish the bowls by firing them in a special kiln, and the completed pieces will be available for collection at a later date.
