25 Years of Romanian Radio in Auckland

We have wonderful news and a very special reason to celebrate!

The team behind “Românie, Plai de Dor”, the Romanian radio programme on Planet FM 104.6, is celebrating 25 years on air — a quarter of a century during which the voice of the Romanian community in Auckland has been heard every week. The programme began in 2001 through the initiative of the late Constantin Pucu Roșu and has continued to this day in various formats and from different broadcasting locations. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has helped make this achievement possible.

A milestone like this deserves a proper celebration, and we warmly invite you to join the radio team and the Doina Community Association for an evening filled with music, dancing, good cheer, and gratitude. Through special surprise moments during the evening, we will look back on the programme’s journey and achievements over the years.
